Curing time

The curing times stated for Fibrecoat are approximate. They vary due to different onsite conditions like the percentage of relative humidity in the air or direct sunlight on the application area.

It is recommended that the user check the curing characteristics of a small quantity of Fibrecoat under actual operating conditions prior to use. For more information talk to one of the technical services team.

Application

Due to Fibrecoat’s amazing flexibility and adhesion properties, it can be applied directly to a wide range of new and existing roof coverings. The system is perfect for use as part of a warm, cold, green or inverted roof design and is available in a range of colours and non-slip finishes for trafficked areas.

Thermal expansion

Fibrecoat has incredible flexibility and can withstand normal building movement and thermal expansion and contraction without the need for expansion joints on any surface area.

The eFlex technology enhances our product’s flexibility without adding any post-production additives which can lead to long-term problems with the life cycle of the roof membrane.

Substrates

Along with the standard plywood or OSB3 boards for new roof configurations, Fibrecoat can also be applied directly to existing roof coverings allowing for low-cost refurbishments with minimum disturbance.

A range of system primers is required to seal the substrate and extend product coverage. Specified primers vary dependent on surface type and condition. Please refer to our substrate guide for a detailed overview of the primers available.

Foot traffic

The Fibrecoat system is available with non-slip finishes for walkways and heavy foot traffic. A Non-slip finish should be specified for high-traffic areas and provides perfect protection for normal use on terraces, balconies and walkways. While the surface finish is anti-slip it will not eliminate the risk of slipping, particularly in winter conditions where ice has formed.
